Firestone EPDM is a high performing synthetic rubber membrane offering a long-term durability and a quality solution for any type of flat or gently sloping roof surface including; core buildings, extensions, verandas, garages, carports.

The main component of a Firestone Rubbergard Roof System is EPDM, a single-ply synthetic rubber membrane made of ethylene propylene diene monomer, mixed with carbon black, oils, curing agents and processing aids. It is calendered into large sheets and vulcanized. The EPDM membrane is fully adhered to an acceptable substrate using Firestone Bonding Adhesive.

The first Firestone EPDM roof was installed in Wisconsin, USA in 1980 and still remains in service today. Since then, over 1,000,000,000m2 of Firestone EPDM membranes have been successfully installed on commercial and domestic rooftops worldwide, from the cold climates of Alaska to the desert sun of the Arabian Gulf.

We are an approved and fully trained installer for Firestone EPDM Rubbergard roofing solutions. All work is carried out by fully trained, skilled craftsmen and does not require the use of any boiling tar or heat work.

Single Ply Firestone Rubbergard Roofing systems are issued with a 20 year material and labour guarantee.

Quick Cover Installation
Firestone EPDM is available in panel sizes up to 12.2m in width and 30.5 in length, resulting in fewer field seams and less roof exposure time. A panel is cut specifically for your roof from a main sheet.

Superior Weatherability and Durability
Due to its composition, essentially carbon black and EPDM polymers, Firestone EPDM offers unmatched resistance to ozone, UV radiation, and ultimately ageing.

High Flexibility and Elongation
Firestone EPDM remains flexible at temperatures up to -45degreesC and can elongate over 300% to accommodate building movements and temperature fluctuations.

Low Life-Cycle Cost
Firestone EPDM requires little to no maintenance. This feature combined with the inherent durability and competitive installed cost of EPDM roofing systems, result in a very low life-cycle cost.
