High Performance SBS Elastromeric Felt
Product Specification
The new generation top performance elastromeric torch-on membrane Sappi Evermore felt has been proven and awarded by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) to be the highest standard of roof felting currently available and at the forefront of continuous research and development. The use of the latest technology of spun bonded polyester reinforcing including the use of SBS Elastomeric bitumen, separates it from all rival felt manufacturers.
Sappi Evermore has been designed to accommodate repeated thermal movements of the roof by using a unique blend of polymers, styrene-butadience-styrene and selected bitumen's to provide greater capacity to bridge movement of cracks and joints in the substrate and better fatigue resistence.
Low Temperature Flexibility
Evermore features a superior flexibility at low temperatures enabling safe installation of the system,
even in extreme cold weather conditions.
Puncture, Tear and Deformaton Resistance
Evermore features a superior resistance to rip, tear and deformation by the use of a twice spun bonded
polyester core which provides an exceptional resistance to both static and dynamic indentation caused
by natural structural movements.
Ageing
Evermore is highly resistant to ageing by ozone, ultra-violet light etc., thereby prolonging
the life of the roof waterproofing. These materials are in no doubt proven market leaders.
Guarantees
It is covered by an independent Insurance backed guarantee covering the cost of removal, repair/or
replacement of the products installed including fixed pavements and/or other materials used as protection
of the membranes for periods up to 20yrs.

The following felt system choices are available:
FELT SYSTEM 1
First layer: A 2mm thick first layer of High Performance felt will be applied to the complete
roof area and all perimeters up stands, brickwork and or cubs. Using a seam-bonding method to seal this
layer over the roofs area. This layer cannot be bonded to the roofs deck in order to allow for structural
movements in the roofs deck which will split fully bonded felt base layers prematurely.
Top layer 'Cap Sheet': A 4.5mm mineralized cap sheet will then be fully bonded to the seam bonded first
layer. Cap sheet is produced using a unique blend of spun bonded polyester reinforced cores and is
backed with a select SBS bitumen. This layer is finished with a mineralised surface in a choice of green/grey or brown.
The mineral layer is made up from fine slate granules that provide an excellent solar reflective finish,
without the need for stone chippings, and prevents moss growth. All perimeter up stands and drip edges
will be completed as per roof requirements, using this mineralised felt. The material carries a
double A rated fire certificate and is registered under ISO 9002 so all membranes are manufacture in
accordance with the requirements of this license.
Felt system 1 is issued with a 10 year insurance backed guarantee certificate and a 10 year
labour guarantee certificate.
FELT SYSTEM 2
First layer: A 4mm first layer of High Performance felt will be applied to the complete roof area
and all perimeters up stands, brickwork and/or cubs. Using a seam-bonding method to seal this layer
over the roofs area. This layer cannot be bonded to the roofs' deck in order to allow
for structural movements in the roofs deck which will split fully boned felt base layers prematurely.
Top layer 'Cap Sheet': A 4.5mm mineralized cap sheet will be fully bonded to the seam bonded 4mm first layer.

Felt system 2 is issued with a 15 year insurance backed guarantee certificate and a 15 year
labour guarantee certificate.
FELT SYSTEM 3
First layer: A 2mm thick first layer of High Performance felt will be applied to the complete roof area
and all perimeters up stands, brickwor and/or cubs.
Second layer: A 4mm layer of High Performance felt will be fully bonded using a torch-on method; this seals the
second layer onto the first layer. All perimeters roof curbs and up stands will be felted with this layer ready for the final
layer.
Top layer 'Cap Sheet': A 4.5mm mineralised cap sheet will be fully bonded to the second layer. (description
as felt system 1 and 2 cap sheet).
Felt system 3 is issued with a 20 year insurance backed guarantee certificate and a 20 year labour
guarantee certificate.
